Not surprisingly, "argh" is much more frequent than any of the alternatives, and the items with fewer 'a's or 'r's are more frequent than their longer neighbors.
However, there are high-frequency islands, even way out in the long-word planes. For example, "a¹⁷r²³gh" (17,23) occurs in 171 pages, even though if you change the number of 'a's or 'r's by one, it drops at least 20-fold. "A¹⁵r⁵gh" is almost 100 times more frequent than its neighbors.
This might be be because these spellings occur in frequently-copied material such as quotes. You could trace the propogation of text fragments by looking for low-frequency spellings and collocations.
Now look at the interactive visualization. Sometimes Google suggests a word that is lower-frequency than the original. For example, it suggests "aaaarrrrgh" (4,4) for (4,5) "aaaarrrrrgh", even though the former has occurs in 520 pages and the latter in almost 10,0000. In fact, (4,4) is less frequent than its neighbors, but suggested for most of them. Maybe Google is counting tokens, not pages?
